Jack Vettriano - Billy Boys

“Billy Boys” is usually associated with Glasgow as a loyalist song, sung to the tune of Marching Through Georgia. The “Billy Boys” by Vettriano are four young men taking a walk on the beach; the"boys" are of a similar size and could be brothers. They are wearing black suits, white shirts and black hats; one has taken off his jacket. Their look is in the style of  gangsters, from a movie of the 1940s. The guy in the foreground has a cigarette in his hand. The weather is fair; the sea in the background is calm, and the boys don’t seem to be in a hurry. There is a nice reflection of Vettriano’s boys on a pool on the sand.
