Jack Vettriano - A Date With Fate

A Date with Fate was exhibited at The Edinburgh International Festival in 1995. The Edinburgh New Town Georgian townhouse setting of the 1995 Vettriano exhibition was a perfect showplace for Jack’s paintings. A Date with Fate has the trademark Vettriano profile aspect of a lady in a blue polka dot dress smoking, while through the bar or café window that she stands in front of, we can see two men in Fedora hats that are reminiscent of gangster movies of the 40’s.
